Gamehaven Scouts Welcome Robert (Bob) Bock, Jr.
Gamehaven Council is please to introduce its new Scout Executive, Robert Bock Jr., who began serving on October 13, 2008. Bob brings a great deal of valuable experience to the role. He has been a Scouting professional for 20 years serving in various councils in the Midwest. He has extensive experience in running high quality Scouting programs, generating strong volunteer relationships, and successful fundraising. He has served as the Scout Executive for the Santa Fe Council headquartered in Garden City, KS, for the last six years where he has earned several BSA awards for his service. He is a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. He has served in his community as President of the local Rotary group, President of the Coventry Civic Association, and Treasurer of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Bob is a welcome addition to Gamehaven Council.

National Scout Jamboree 2010
"The best, most exciting, fun filled, safest jamboree event!!" Gamehaven Council is excited to announce that registration is open for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree, July 26th - August 4th, 2010. Not only is this the final National Jamboree to be held at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, but we're celebrating the centennial of the Boy Scout program in America! Come participate in this once in a lifetime event! The council can only take 36 scouts, so please get your online registration completed, and get your forms signed by your Scoutmaster and turned into the Council office along with your $100 deposit, as soon as possible so that the council's jamboree leaders can begin organizing the troop. 2009 Gamehaven Merit Badge Fair
Planning is well underway for the 2009 Gamehaven Merit Badge Fair, planned for
March 14, 2009 at Lourdes High School in Rochester. A preliminary listing of the planned
merit badge classes, to be used for planning purposes only, is here.
We are still looking for additional adults interested in teaching any of the Citizenship merit
badges. For additional information, or to volunteer to help, contact Jim Kruchowski.
Registration for classes will open mid-January. Announcements will be made at the
January District Roundtables, or watch this site for further details to be posted as they
become available.
